Amit and Alka lived with their parents in Chandigarh.

It was a big city with wide roads and beautiful gardens.

Every summer, during their holidays they visited their grandmother, Mrs. Kiran Chopra.

She lived in the hills of Mussoorie.

The lush green hills and the deep valleys were a great escape from the summer heat.

During one such summer holiday, When the children were visiting their Granny, she asked them to go to the nearby market.

Granny: children, will you go to the market for me?

I need a few household items from Mohan lal's shop and some fruits from the Negi's stall.

Amit and Alka: Of course Granny, we will.

She loves to grow plants in her garden .

The children bought the packet of seeds and went home happy and excited.

Early next morning when they woke up, they ran to Granny .

She was sipping her morning tea and reading newspaper on the verandah.

Amit: Good morning, Granny!

Alka: Happy birthday Granny!

Amit: We have something for you.

Alka: Hope you like it!

When Granny opened her gift, Her eyes lit up at the unexpected sweet gesture from her grandchildren.

Granny: Thank you, children!

Now, my garden will look beautiful with golden marigolds.
